Freenas 11.2 plex8/30/2023 ![]() ![]() If you are going to do #3(which is the only option with the PlexPass version) then you need to handle all management of upgrades manually. If you installed Plex in your jail from more than 1 of those at any point without uninstalling the old version, you're going to have a messed up jail(which is what it sounds like). Pkg-ng(and the old pkg system which you shouldn't be using anymore anyway) There's 3 basic ways to install software:Ģ. In short, you've confused the hell out of the systems to install software. The issue occurs only on FreeNAS 11.3-RC1 because FreeBSD 11.3 does not contain rcs in the base system any longer. I appear to have FreeNAS 11.2 BETA installed which I got from the FreeNAS website. ![]() I’ve read the guides and understand most of it but I was wondering what the current recommendations are to migrate Plex to iocage while preserving data. Make sure you select your recently created Plex jail, and then add your datasets as source. I have created my ZFS Raid and have a folder accessible on my Windows PCs where I can move and store files/folders however I cant seem to install Plex Media Server. I’ve been holding off on updating to 11.2 until I could expand my storage and the time has finally arrived. Manually create a generic jail (jails tab in the top bar, then the add jail button), named PlexPass-Server (or whatever you want, really) Create/link storage for that jail (still in the jails tab, switch to the storage tab, then the add storage button). So now your jail is all fubarred and you'll need to un-f*ck it to straighten things out. Yes, updating a jail to 11.3 does work on FreeNAS-11.2-U7, because FreeBSD 11.2 stills contains rcs in the base system. I have never used Freenas or the FreeBSD system before and would like some help. In the shell prompt, view the currently installed jails: jls You should see something like this: 1 - plex /mnt/tank/jails/plex Here, the plex jail has a JID of 1, so to get a shell prompt in the jail, use the following command. If you installed the Ports version AND the PlexPass version, you overwrote whichever one you installed first. Once the jail is created, navigate to the FreeNAS shell prompt, either through the FreeNAS WebUI Shell or via SSH. so naturally it won't be updated from Ports nor will it show up on a list.ģ. The PlexPass version of Plex isn't in the ports tree. Ports will maintain whatever is in the ports tree. Lesson of the day is don't mount the plex filesystem on my linux server which has the storage for my current plex media server on my network. That's because you are doing it all wrong.ġ. Type 'ee nf' and you will now be editing the nf file. Edit nf file (instead i personally use WinSCP to access FRENAS and edit files) Type 'cd /usr/local/etc/' and you should be in that directory. the linux ownerships were the plex user and group on the FreeNAS and global read permissions - 644 on all files, 755 on directories. Type 'pkg install minidlna' (you will be prompted to install pkg too) to install MiniDLNA. The current version is TrueNAS 12.0-U5.1 which is a minor update to TrueNAS 12.0-U5 and includes all the same benefits. We recommend FreeNAS users plan and execute their updates. The short-term and long-term benefits of TrueNAS are clear. I had this working on 11.1 including do multicasting across subnets with two routers* and it WORKED but I did have an issue where scanning media was not working, I could scan all day long but it would not find media copied across using linux but would find media copied on windows, yeah weird I know. FreeNAS to TrueNAS 12.0 Upgrades are Easy. but it looks like the permissions are the same. I have sworn at this thing, I would kick it if I could. The one odd thing is that when I am in shell I cant change directories to the Plex Media Server directory. I have set my AllowedNetworks to 0.0.0.0/0 or 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 or a list of network addresses including 127.0.0.1/32, 10,10.0.0/16 and various other VLANs that need access. When I try to install the Plex Plugin on a fresh installation of FreeNAS 11. Manually Created Jail following the instructions provided in this thread. I searched and didn't see anything on here so I thought I'd post this. The jail is confirmed to have full connectivity on my network. Install Plex plugin for FreeNAS 11.2 Guide I'd love some feedback from the community about this guide I put together and see if there is anything I missed. According to my FreeNAS jail, all of my packages are up to date, but Plex isnt installed (because I use the plugin rather than install via jail.) I ran this. ![]() I have been using the bridge0 interface to do my networking. So I currently have PMS running 1.15.2.793 and Plex apparently released an update to 1.15.3.876. Then I created a symlink called 'Plex Media Server' in the same location, and it references the new data. I moved the 'Plex Media Server' directory inside of plexdata over to my new dataset. My configuration is a VLAN subnet 10.10.0.0/16 which has FreeNAS server on it and a virtual IP from FreeNAS for the Jail. I have my jails on a small SSD, and I just moved my Plex metadata over to its own dataset on my raid-z-2 pool. ![]()

Epson software8/30/2023 ![]() Photo printer technology is so mature that there is no justifiable difference in print quality between a printer made today and one you may have bought even five years ago. If you already own a capable 13-inch photo inkjet printer and can still find ink for it, you should probably just keep using it. But if you’re relying on unedited JPEGs from a point-and-shoot, these printers are probably more powerful than you need. If you’re already shooting with a large-sensor DSLR or mirrorless camera and editing raw-format images, a dedicated photo printer will show off your camera’s capabilities by translating the high dynamic range and sharp detail of your images to paper.
Kingdom rush origins level 98/30/2023 ![]() The game requires strategic thinking and tactical actions as certain enemies aren’t affected by some towers and others may require you to upgrade first, so you can slow them down or potentially one-shot them. It’s up to you to continue placing these buildings and subsequently upgrading them in order to slaughter every foe who tries to pass you. Once you’re ready, or time runs out, the first wave of enemies will approach you, trying to make their way to your base (or in this case, down the passage leading to your base). Each tower has different attacks and abilities such as bowmen, a catapult, or magical wizards. Okay, maybe that’s too basic? You begin the game with some gold which you can use to erect various towers around the map. If you’ve never played a Tower Defence game before, gather around as I try to explain it… To put it bluntly, you must defend your base with towers. ![]() Basically, for £11 you’re getting a challenging game with multiple difficulties, lots of content, and it’ll literally take you hours to complete – not bad in my opinion!
